Amnesia: Rebirth – The Orb Puzzle

This portion of the guide explains how to solve the Orb Puzzle in The Alchemist’s Chambers.

The Orb Puzzle

Your goal here is to get to the rift.

  • Hint: To do this, you’re going to need the triangle device.

Step-by-Step Solutions

Place the triangular device on the floor for now. First, put the orb in the middle area between the three pillars with the triangles on top. Just pull the switch down beneath this piece to open up the caged part.

Then, head to the panel behind you. Using the red knobs on the bottom and right side, align the symbols with the ones on the pillars. Then, press the button on top and see the orb at work.

Now, your focus is on the machine next to this one with the circular top. The triangle device will eventually go in here, but right now it’s in need of new canisters (or what’s called Leyden Jars.) So, you’re going to have to take out the orb in order to leave the room.

Pick up the triangle and set it near the left wall to open the door there, then head outside this room and go outside the now-unlocked door.

You’ll see a big staircase. Head down whichever side you choose, and at the end you’ll see a woman with a tube in her mouth hooked up to a machine.

Move to the lever on the right to turn it off. Now you can take out the Leyden Jar. Turn around and you’ll find your next jar right behind you.

Now, head back to the room and put the Leyden Jars into the circular machine. Then, put the orb back, place the triangle device in the circular machine, and press the button on it.

This will open the door across the way from you, so take the orb out again to leave and head towards it. Using your amulet, open the rift.
