Blair Witch – Chapter 5 Walkthrough

Chapter 5

Chapter 5 begins when Ellis discovers the body under the pile of branches in the forest.

Begin by investigating the various points of interest on the corpse. Once you have seen them all you can step away, and grab the Victim Photo (Aneta) the corpse is holding in their hand. At this point Bullet should bring you a Red Tape he found titled “The Amicicide” which depicts the murder. Once you have watched it turn around and follow Bullet into the woods.

You should come upon a large puddle covering the path. From here you can take a right to find a dilapidated house with some items in it, as well as a path that leads to a dead end with an Effigy stuck behind a log. Go forward past the old house and you will see a large boggy area in the distance. Walk down the path into the bog and you will see a soldier’s helmet sitting near a rock. Inspecting it will lead into a PTSD cutscene where Ellis seems to be running from an attack helicopter.

All you need to do to progress is run forward, following Bullet down the safe path. The air around you will become dusty making it hard to see, so if you lose Bullet just make sure you are always moving forward and avoiding the falling trees. If you move quickly at the start (and possibly ignore the helmet) you can get ahead of the scripted environmental effects and avoid the dust cloud. If you lag behind Ellis will be shot and killed, but no worries as you will just respawn back at the helmet.

This scene ends when you arrive at a massive tree. Run inside to complete the area and enter next Chapter 6.

I love two things in life, games and sports. Although sports were my earliest interest, it was video games that got me completely addicted (in a good way). My first game was Crash Bandicoot (PS1) from the legendary studio Naughty Dog back in 1996. I turned my passion for gaming into a job back in 2019 when I transformed my geek blog (Re-actor) into the gaming website it is today.
