Cookie Clicker – No Steam Achievements When You Port Your Web-Save?

Are you wondering why your ported web-save for cookie clicker isn’t unlocking steam achievements? If so, here’s what you should do.

Steam Achievements Fix

Note: Credit goes to Prototane

Step 1:

Check if your save has the shadow achievements “Cheated cookies taste awful” and/or “Third-Party”.

If you do, you’ll need to remove them to earn achievements.

If you don’t, then idk sorry.

Step 2:

Go onto the web version of cookie clicker.

Right click anywhere and select the inspect option.

At the top of the newly opened window you’ll want to click “Console” and then when you’re in the console you want to write:

  • Game.Achievements[“Cheated cookies taste awful”].won=0
  • Game.Achievements[“Third-Partyl”].won=0

If you have both; this should remove them from your achievement list.

Step 3:

Now all you have to do is save your web-save and import it to Steam, you should be getting the Steam achievements now.

I love two things in life, games and sports. Although sports were my earliest interest, it was video games that got me completely addicted (in a good way). My first game was Crash Bandicoot (PS1) from the legendary studio Naughty Dog back in 1996. I turned my passion for gaming into a job back in 2019 when I transformed my geek blog (Re-actor) into the gaming website it is today.
