DEATHLOOP – Achievements / Trophies Guide

Learn the cycle & break the loop! This guide will run you through all 54 Achievements available to collect on the island of Blackreef.

Break the Loop – Main Story

There are 52 achievements that can be earned in the “Break the Loop” mode, playing as Colt.

Visionary Kills

Nowhere To Run To
Take out an invading Julianna while playing as Colt.

Julianna will invade you throughout the story, the first instance of this is during the first Main Story quest “The Longest Day”. This achievement can be unlocked either offline or online, and you simply need to kill her when the game alerts you to her presence instead of trying to leave the area.

Pieces Of Eight
While playing as Colt, kill Frank. Or Charlie. Or Fia. Or Wenjie. Or Aleksis. Or Harriet. Egor will do as well.

This achievement is unlocked for killing your first visionary (besides Julianna). As this is the Main Objective of the game you will unlock it very early.

Ensemble Tragedy
Kill each Visionary at least once.

This achievement is unlocked for killing all 7 visionaries (besides Julianna). As this is the Main Objective of the game you will unlock it at the very least before completing the Main Story. The achievement will unlock after you kill all of them at least once across any amount of loops and via any method. Simply follow the leads to track them all down.

Full Deck
Kill a Visionary using a full loadout, without any empty slots or sockets, and escape the map.

A full loadout is 4 Trinkets, 3 Weapons, all 9 Weapon Trinkets, 2 Slabs & all 4 Slab Upgrades.

Play It Again, Colt
After finishing the game once, kill all Visionaries in a map and escape.

Simply kill all Visionaries on a map after finishing the Main Story. The Complex – Evening is an easy location to complete this.

The G.O.D. of O.S.P.
Enter a map with an empty loadout and kill all Visionaries present. Leave the map. Wash your hands.

The only items you should have still equipped when attempting this is the Grenade, Machete, Hackamajig & Reprise.

The best location to unlock this is on The Complex – Evening where there will be almost no Eternalists present & Egor will be working out in the open. You will only need to watch for Turrets, which can be hacked, Lasermines & Mines, which can be disarmed.

An alternative location is on Fristad Rock – Afternoon on Fia & Charlie who will be in their bunker alone. In the upstairs control room you can flood the bunker to kill them both & escape.

Both methods can earn you all 4 achievements: “The G.O.D. of O.S.P.”, “Mightier Than the Gun”, “Silent Disco” & “Only The Guilty”.

Mightier Than The Gun
Kill all Visionaries in a map – and make it to the exit – without using a gun.

The best location to unlock this is on The Complex – Evening where there will be almost no Eternalists present & Egor will be working out in the open. You will only need to watch for Turrets, which can be hacked, Lasermines & Mines, which can be disarmed.

An alternative location is on Fristad Rock – Afternoon on Fia & Charlie who will be in their bunker alone. In the upstairs control room you can flood the bunker to kill them both & escape.

Both methods can earn you all 4 achievements: “The G.O.D. of O.S.P.”, “Mightier Than the Gun”, “Silent Disco” & “Only The Guilty”.

If you are having trouble with the above methods keep in mind that stealth is not required here & you are also able to use your Machete or other equipment.

Silent Disco
Get in and out of a map without being spotted – and kill all Visionaries present.

The best location to unlock this is on The Complex – Evening where there will be almost no Eternalists present & Egor will be working out in the open. You will only need to watch for Turrets, which can be hacked, Lasermines & Mines, which can be disarmed.

An alternative location is on Fristad Rock – Afternoon on Fia & Charlie who will be in their bunker alone. In the upstairs control room you can flood the bunker to kill them both & escape.

Both methods can earn you all 4 achievements: “The G.O.D. of O.S.P.”, “Mightier Than the Gun”, “Silent Disco” & “Only The Guilty”.

If you are having trouble with the above methods keep in mind that you are also able to use Weapons & Abilities.

Only The Guilty
Kill all Visionaries present in a map and escape without killing any Eternalists.

The best location to unlock this is on The Complex – Evening where there will be almost no Eternalists present & Egor will be working out in the open. You will only need to watch for Turrets, which can be hacked, Lasermines & Mines, which can be disarmed.

An alternative location is on Fristad Rock – Afternoon on Fia & Charlie who will be in their bunker alone. In the upstairs control room you can flood the bunker to kill them both & escape.

Both methods can earn you all 4 achievements: “The G.O.D. of O.S.P.”, “Mightier Than the Gun”, “Silent Disco” & “Only The Guilty”.

If you are having trouble with the above methods keep in mind that stealth is not required here & you can use any Weapons & Abilities.

Unique Visionary Kills

Alpha Burger
Kill Aleksis using his meat grinder.

Available in Updaam – Evening. In Dorsey Manor there is a stage where Eternalists will tell jokes, falling into a Meat Grinder if the crowd doesn’t like it. At one point Aleksis will stand on the stage himself, where you will have this opportunity to kill him. Towards the left of the stage there is a button which will activate the Meat Grinder causing him to fall and earning this achievement.

Aleksis will always say the same thing when he enters the stage, and will always have Dual LIMP-10 SMGs on his waist (although they may not always be orange).

Power Chord
Kill Frank using a Slab ability. Take a bow.

Available in Fristad Rock – Morning. Recommended to use either Havoc or Karnesis to earn this achievement. You will need to have a ClassPass to reach Frank which can then be disabled in his room, or my more preferred method is to enter through the hidden vent entrance without using a ClassPass. If you have the code you can disable the Security System, otherwise hack the doors to open them.

Judgement Day
Kill Harriet with poisonous gas.

Available in Karl’s Bay – Morning. Recommended to use Harriet’s own weapon to earn this achievement. It will be a Fourpounder with a special poisonous effect. Kill her once to get her weapon and then infuse it. Now when you return in another loop you can use it against her, however be careful to ensure she dies from the poison and not the bullet. You can do this easily by shooting around her, instead of directly hitting her. Keep in mind that shooting the gas will cause it to explode so make sure to spread your bullets out far enough as this explosion may kill her and it won’t unlock the achievement.

If you are having with this method you can also try and lead her to the bottom of the staircase where there is pool of poison gas and kicking her in. You can kick her multiple times and she won’t die.

Game Over
Kill Charlie within the rules of Condition Detachment.

Updaam – Noon // In Condition Detachment you can go up the first set of stairs and listen to the 2 Eternalists talking. This will unlock a new discovery of a command you can teach 2-BIT. 2-BIT is the robot on the 3rd floor. He will tell you there is not enough power to launch the rocket, you need 5 batteries to fix this issue. 2 are already in the machine, and the other 3 batteries can be found around the building, they are fairly common. There are 4 on the bottom 2 floors of the building alone, and also a Battery Charger on the bottom floor if you need it. With the machine fully powered 2-BIT will now be able to launch the rocker, after asking him to do so anyone on the top floor by the rocket’s ignition will be killed & this is usually where Charlie will be roaming.

Quantum Solution
Kill all versions of Wenjie within a 90-second period. Simple.

Available in The Complex – Afternoon. In and around Wenjie’s Lab there will be 15 clones of Wenjie roaming around that must be killed. There are 3 Wenjies in the leftmost room, 5 in the rightmost room with 1 on the roof, 2 in the back room and the rest in the round central room, including 2 on the outside balcony walkway.

The time limit is fairly lenient, however it is recommend you have a strong shotgun or machine gun. Also keep in mind that triggering sensors can activate turrets & depressurization which will likely kill, so I recommend dealing with them before engaging.

Not-So-Invisible Man
Kill Egor while he’s under the influence of a nullifier.

Available in The Complex – Evening. There are many nullifiers available around Egor’s Camp, which look like metal briefcases. You need to carry one with you and place it near Egor, and then quickly kill him.

Keep in mind the nullifier will disable your slabs so a shotgun is recommended to kill him quickly.

Didn’t See It Coming
Kill Fia without causing a deadly reaction.

Available in Fristad Rock – Noon. Fia roams around the bunker in the back right of the map, and if you become detected here she will activate a Nuclear Reactor. To earn this achievement you need to kill her undetected, not giving her a chance to activate the reactor, or you will need to disarm the reactor.

Disarming the Reactor: Accessing the bunker through the elevator shaft and heading left to a Repair Room will have a blueprint showing the Reactor and 4 coloured wires labelled with numbers. With this information you can hack the back panel of the Reactor itself where you will need to cut the wires in order.

Violent Delights
Kill Charlie and Fia with a single bullet.

Available in Fristad Rock – Afternoon, this achievement is related to the “Afternoon Delight” visionary lead. You will find that Charlie & Fia meet up often in a secret bunker. The easiest way to do this is with Nexus when both of them are together, activating the ability on one of them & then headshotting the other with a bullet to earn this achievement.

Ghost At The Feast
Kill 3 targets at Aleksis’ party without being seen. Leave Updaam satisfied, knowing you made the party a better place.

Available in Updaam – Evening, after completing the “What Wenjies Want” and “Lost in Transmission” visionary leads. This can be repeated in another loop after the story but the best time to earn this achievement is when all 3 targets are at the party during the Main Story mission “Ending It”. You will need to sneak into Dorsey Manor, kill Aleksis, Wenjie and Egor, and escape the area without causing an alert.

Full Loop Completion

All The Live-Long Day
Survive all 4 time periods in one day.

Each day is split into four time periods, simply complete a day to reset the loop back to the beginning without dying to unlock this achievement.

You Only Die Once
Finish an entire loop while wearing a ClassPass.

You will need to get a ClassPass from Fristad Rock – Morning, and then enter & leave all 4 time periods until you reach the end of the loop. Keep in mind, skipping the time will not count so be sure to just enter the map & then just leave again.

Clean-ish Hands
Kill all Visionaries – and no Eternalists – in a single loop.

This can only be unlocked after you complete the Main Story. Stealth is recommended here but keep in mind that it is not required, you just can’t kill any Eternalists. The best loadout for this would include Shift & Aether to get around the levels mostly in stealth.

A useful trick to know for when you make a mistake is the ability to return to the Main Menu & then reload your game. You will start at the beginning of the current map you were on, but your achievement progress will not be voided.

Slab Abilities

Rip And Tear
As Colt, inflict a truckload of damage to Eternalists during a single use of Havoc.

Havoc is unlocked from Fia in Fristad Rock – Noon (or as a random drop from Julianna). A good place to unlock this is outside Otto’s Workshop in Updaam – Noon as there are a lot of enemies around.

Other useful equipment to use here include Euphoria & Withdrawal Havoc Slab Upgrades as well as the Juiced Up Character Trinket.

Blink Of An Eye
As Colt, transport an enemy onto a mine using Shift.

Shift is unlocked from Charlie in Updaam – Noon (or as a random drop from Julianna). You also need the Swapper upgrade, which is unlocked by killing Charlie multiple times.

With both of these equipped find an Eternalist, place a proximity charge beside yourself (activated as an alternate mode of the Strelak Sapper), and then use Shift and Swapper to swap positions with the Eternalist. The prompt will appear on the screen when you are able to swap positions, and will only show up if you are fairly close.

Fwd: Fwd: Fwd: PAIN
As Colt, transmit damage over more than 20 meters using Nexus.

Nexus is unlocked from Harriet in Karl’s Bay – Morning (or as a random drop from Julianna).

A good place to unlock this is outside Otto’s Workshop in Updaam – Noon as there are a lot of enemies around. You need to chain multiple enemies together & then kill one to earn the trophy.

Death Is In The Air
As Colt, achieve 3 airborne headshots on enemies you’ve launched using Karnesis.

Karnesis is unlocked from Aleksis in Updaam – Evening (or as a random drop from Julianna).

Your 3 airborne headshots must be all on the same map, and is easiest with a pistol or machine gun. If you are struggling to land your shots you can use the Suspension upgrade (earned from killing Aleksis multiple times) which will have your target remain airborne for a few seconds.

Don’t Mind Me
While using Aether as Colt, kill 3 enemies without alerting nearby enemies.

Aether is unlocked from Egor in The Complex – Evening (or as a random drop from Julianna).

With Aether enabled you should have no problem killing a few enemies in succession, as long as they aren’t facing each other. You can also activate Aether multiple times to earn this achievement, so you can take your time with it as long as it is done on the same map.

Kills, Deaths & Accidents

Die, Die, And Die Again
After acquiring Reprise, die for real – or what passes for real in the Loop.

You receive the Reprise Slab early in the game. It will automatically revive you multiple times per loop before you die ‘for real’. Keep dying until you run out of Reprise charges and then die again to restart the loop and earn this achievement.

The Spice Of Life
Die every which way as Colt: Drown. Fall. Choke on poison gas. Succumb to fatal depressurization. Get blown up. Shot. Stabbed. Ground up. Fried by a rocket. Oh, and obliterated by a reactor. Fun, right?

  • Drown: Jump into deep water. A good place is at the edge of Karl’s Bay.
  • Fall: Fall from any height high enough to kill you.
  • Choke on Poison Gas: Karl’s Bay // There is poison gas in Hangar 2 (which is where Harriet holds her speech).
  • Succumb to Fatal Depressurization: The Complex – Afternoon // Getting spotted by a sensor in the Wenjie Lab area will trigger depressurization.
  • Get Blown Up: Possible with your own grenade.
  • Shot: Any enemy with a ranged weapon.
  • Stabbed: Any enemy with a machete.
  • Ground Up: Updaam – Evening // In Dorsey Manor you can fall into a meat grinder below the stage where Eternalists are telling jokes. To the left of the stage there is a button to manually activate the grinder.
  • Fried by a Rocket: Updaam – Noon // In Condition Detachment you can go up the first set of stairs and listen to the 2 Eternalists talking. This will unlock a new discovery of a command you can teach 2-BIT. 2-BIT is the robot on the 3rd floor. He will tell you there is not enough power to launch the rocket, you need 5 batteries to fix this issue. 2 are already in the machine, and the other 3 batteries can be found around the building, they are fairly common. There are 4 on the bottom 2 floors of the building alone, and also a Battery Charger on the bottom floor if you need it. With the machine fully powered 2-BIT will now be able to launch the rocker, after asking him to do so you need to head to the top floor where the Rocket’s Ignition will kill you.
  • Obliterated by a Reactor: Fristad Rock – Noon // Alert Fia in the bunker and she will activate the reactor’s self-destruct, you must stay in the area until it explodes. You can also hack the panel at the back of the reactor and cut the wrong wire to trigger the Reactor instantly.

Clean Sweep
Kill everyone in a time period and escape.

Updaam – Morning is the best location for this as there are fewer enemies. The trophy will only unlock when you leave the map so be sure to check every building for enemies to ensure none are missed.

Specific to Updaam – Morning the enemy behind the three-lock door is not required.

Cooking With Gas
While playing as Colt, ignite a gas cloud while someone is inside it.

Updaam – Noon is a good location to earn this. In Condition Detachment there is a gas cloud in the bottom left of the building, with an Eternalist already standing in it. Shoot the gas cloud to ignite it & earn this achievement.

Sugar Crash
While playing as Colt, use candy to gain a tactical advantage.

In Updaam – Morning there is a Candy store to the left, just outside the tunnel entrance. On the upper floor of this building there are enemies & candy machines where you can unlock this. Shoot the machines to spill candy on the floor & have an Eternalists slip over it to earn this achievement. Keep in mind you don’t have to kill them for this to unlock, but it did take me a few attempts for it to trigger.

Chop Chop
Kill 3 enemies with the machete in 10 seconds.

Very simple to unlock in any location with a few Eternalists. This can be done in stealth or just with simple melee attacks from the Machete.

Oops
While playing as Colt, cause someone to fall to their death.

There are plenty of locations to earn this, as it is quite easy to send someone flying even when they are a fair distance from a ledge. It can be achieved with a melee kick (most effective) or even a Machete swing.

A good location is in Updaam – Morning, exit the tunnel and climb up to the right to find an Eternalist near the edge of the cliff.

Residuum Collection

Dead Drop
Absorb Residuum from a body – like some kind of temporal sponge.

You unlock the ability to absorb Residuum in the 2nd Main Story mission “Ubiquity”. After unlocking this ability you can die with Reprise, and then return to your corpse to absorb the lost Residuum from it. The achievement will unlock even if you didn’t have any Residuum, and also if you absorb it from another body that isn’t your own.

Residual Earnings
Absorb more than 20000 Residuum in a map.

You can get Residuum from glowing objects around the map, or from killing Visionaries. Simply collect more than 20,000 in a single map, this should be fairly easy with any map that has one or more Visionaries around.

Loadout

Forever Yours
Infuse a Slab.

Infusion is unlocked after the Main Story quest “Ubiquity”. After this point you can Infuse any Slab you find to earn this achievement, keeping in mind the cost is 15,000 Residuum.

Spare No Expense
While playing as Colt, own all upgrades for a Slab.

Each Slab has multiple upgrades available, these can be earned by killing the relevant Visionary multiple times after infusing their Slab ability. To unlock this achivement you will also need to infuse each upgrade.

Julianna also drops random Slabs & Slab upgrades.

Bling Bling Bang Bang
Equip a loadout worth more than 45100 Residuum.

This achievement will unlock as soon as you leave the Loadout menu with equipped gear worth more than 45,100 Residuum. You should have no problem unlocking this over the course of your playthrough as you continue to earn & infuse higher quality gear.

Maximise your Loadout value by applying weapon trinkets & Slab upgrades.

For Every Occasion
Take 36 different Trinkets into the field with you while playing as Colt.

As long as you make a conscious effort to use any new trinkets you find at least once you should have no issue unlocking this during your playthrough, with over 40 trinkets available. Be sure to use any new trinkets at least once before discarding them.

Spoiled for Choice
Infuse one of each type of weapon.

There are 9 basic weapons & 4 unique weapons which must be infused for this achievement. DLC weapons do not count, and neither does the rarity colour.

Basic Weapons:

Unique Weapons:

  • Strelak Verso – “In This Together” // Location: The Complex – Noon.
  • Constancy Automatic – “All Night Long” // Location: Fristad Rock – Morning.
  • The Heritage Gun – “Super Shifty” // Location: Karl’s Bay – Evening.
  • Sepulchra Breteira – “Keep on Giving” // Location: Updaam – Afternoon.

Secrets & Activities

Know Your Enemy
Complete one AEON dossier.

Unlocked after collecting a certain amount of AEON Profile Documents. They can generally be found in areas where Visionaries usually are. If you explore most important areas for documents you should earn this fairly early, the first profile I completed was for Julianna.

A Charlie Montague Game
Prove you’re a real gamer by winning Charlie’s Wake Up Challenge, Reward Scheme, the Moxie, Haul-A-Quinn, and the Yerhva.

If you completed some of these games before the September 17th Update, you may need to redo them for this achievement to unlock.

Charlie has five games spread across Blackreef. You must complete all 5 for the achievement.

Wake Up Challenge: The Complex – Morning // You have a 3 minute timer to find 4 crates hidden around the area.

The Moxie: Updaam – Afternoon // Located in the Moxie you must complete all 3 floors of the puzzle (both the Pressure Plates & Lasers Puzzle on each floor) in a certain amount of time. Shift makes this challenge much easier, while in Updaam – Morning or Noon there is also a doorway to the left of the Moxie leading to a device you can hack, allowing you to switch the puzzles to easy mode.

Reward Scheme: Karl’s Bay – Evening // Part of the “Super Shifty” arsenal lead. You have to find & open several crates around the bay. Their locations can change so to check where your crates are you can view a map inside Fathoms of Lament. Keep in mind that many crates are surrounded by traps or puzzles, and once you have opened them all you must return to the Fathoms of Lament to complete the final puzzle.

Haul-A-Quinn: Karl’s Bay // This requires a full day to complete (except Noon), where you have to deliver four items to Haul-A-Quinn, located just outside the tunnel entrance. You will also need access to the delivery booth, the code can be found on a whiteboard in the bunker in Fristad Rock – Noon.

Yerhva: Karl’s Bay // Located just outside the tunnel entrance you must answer 10 questions correctly. The answers can be found on notes throughout the game, and while the questions & answers are always the same they may be in a different order.

1 Question: “The Bay, the Rock, and labyrinthine Updaam wear AEON colors proudly, but that decor belies their history. From whence came the peculiar names that grace them?”
Answer: They date back to a lost fishing colony

2 Question: “Decades ago, warmongers toyed with the temporal tides eddying about Blackreef. Their sigil-marked temples stand still. What named their doomed enterprise?”
Answer: Operation Horizon

3 Question: “Karl’s Bay has worn many faces, most as lost to time as the mysterious Karl himself. What was its most recent incarnation prior to AEON’s arrival?”
Answer: A military air base

4 Question: “Harriet Morse is the gatekeeper, Blackreef the gate. A veil hangs across the threshold. What do we discover when it parts?”
Answer: The Great Beyond

5 Question: “AEON graces this island as kaleidoscopic jewels upon the neck of the world’s greatest beauty. What seeks the Program?”
Answer: The advancement of human potentiality and enlightenment

6 Question: “Before AEON’s arrival, Blackreef slept in frozen utero, awaiting new purpose. Who then made landfall, reawakening her from slumber?”
Answer: Colt Vahn and Egor Serling, on a voyage of discovery

7 Question: “Blackreef boasts a bountiful feast for the senses. Which transcendent work towers above the island’s myriad other artistic pursuits?”
Answer: The nose, chin, and eyes of Charlie Montague

8 Question: “Sink your toes into the dark earth and let the vibrations of her voice course through your bones. From whence did this island derive her name?”
Answer: Coastal coral formations

9 Question: “The wriggling, writhing energies of the Loop have harnessed to gift us with abilities beyond our biological potential. What birthed our trinkets and slabs?”
Answer: Dr. Wenjie Evans personally engineered each one

10 Question: “From what seed did AEON spring?”
Answer: The shared ambitions of Harriet Morse, Egor Serling, and Dr. Wenjie Evans

Old Habits Die Hard
Enter 0451 at a keypad.

Can be unlocked at any keypad in the game, simply enter the numbers ‘0451’.

Deathday Suit
Kill the (mostly) naked character in each map.

You need to find and kill the (mostly) naked character in each map. There is actually 14 characters you need to kill as each map requires you to kill him in each time period as well. Refer to the video above for his locations, but keep in mind if you cause an enemy alert it is possible the character may move somewhere unpredictable.

They also will respawn after every loop, so while the achievement is not missable you should keep note of which ones you have found so as not to waste time.

Keep in mind at The Complex – Evening you need to shoot the guy on the floor as melee kills often don’t seem to count. Also keep in mind that he will eventually bleed out and die, so be sure to kill him quickly once you encounter him.

Quest Completion

Gooooood Morning, Blackreef!
Escape to Updaam.

The first Story Related achievement. Unlocks partway through the Main Quest ‘The Longest Day’.

Welcome To Blackreef
Complete ‘The Longest Day.’

Unlocked after completing the Main Quest ‘The Longest Day’ which will be one of the first quests you complete.

One Perfect Day
Complete ‘Ending It.’

You get this for finishing the Main Story and breaking the loop by killing all visionaries in the same day.

Baby, You’re a Firework
Complete ‘The Ballad of Ramblin’ Frank.’

This is a Main Story quest, complete it by following your leads to unlock the achievement.

Egoraphobia
Complete ‘Lost in Transmission.’

This is a Main Story quest, complete it by following your leads to unlock the achievement.

Dangerous Liaison
Complete ‘Afternoon Delight.’

This is a Main Story quest, complete it by following your leads to unlock the achievement.

An Offer She Can’t Refuse
Complete ‘What Wenjies Want.’

This is a Main Story quest, complete it by following your leads to unlock the achievement.

Beyond The Horizon
Complete ‘Radio Silence.’

This is a Main Story quest, complete it by following your leads to unlock the achievement.

Protect the Loop – Online

There are 2 achievements only earned in the “Protect the Loop” mode, playing as Julianna. This mode requires you to play online.

As Julianna

Nowhere To Hide
While playing as Julianna, cross Colt off your kill list.

This achievement is unlocked in the online mode “Protect the Loop” selected from the Main Menu. You will need to kill Colt until he runs out of lives and dies ‘for real’, meaning if he has multiple lives on his Reprise Slab you may need to kill him multiple times until it is completely drained.

This will also unlock if you join a Friends game.

Dressing Down
As Julianna, disguise yourself as Colt using Masquerade.

This achievement is unlocked in the online mode “Protect the Loop” selected from the Main Menu. You must use the Disguise Slab, which is unlocked by default, on Colt. Once you find Colt simply target him with the ability & hold it until you take his disguise which takes a few seconds to activate.

This will also unlock if you join a Friends game.
