Frequently Asked Questions
What about MacOSX/Linux?
There is presently no plans to release on these platforms but it would be cool to do it at some point!
Will the game release in early access?
Dice Legacy will be a full release, there’s no early access period.
Is there going to be any open or closed beta prior to the release?
With the release so close, there will not be any further public beta testing prior to release.
How re-playable is Dice Legacy?
The map is generated procedurally and the policies are random. Additionally, at launch you have 5 difficulty levels, 5 more rulers to unlock and 5 more scenarios to unlock which alter the rules of the game.
Where can I find out more about the game?
If you want a complete overview of the game, this video should be for you.
Also, a number of content creators have been given access to a limited version of the game from about June, search for Dice Legacy on YouTube and Twitch. You can also follow us on social media platforms.
Will the game have multiplayer mode?
No, Dice Legacy is a single player game.
Will I need to be online to play the game?
Will there be a way to play Dice Legacy as a purely economic game, without any combat?
There will be a pacifist mode, but you will run out of resources eventually.
Will you support controllers on PC or Steam Deck?
We might add controller support to the PC version at a later date but no plans for seamless support at the moment (aka on-the-fly switching between Mouse & Keyboard and controller).
Will there be any additional DLC planned?
We don’t have anything to announce at this time, but we’re already thinking about ways of expanding the game post release – be that free updates or new paid content.
Can you rebind keys in the game?
At the moment, formally you cannot. The game has only a handful of keys and can be played only using the mouse. In case you’re interested in binding spacebar to pause, the game has an option to do that in the GAME tab in the options menu. This will move Roll from Spacebar to R. Fully rebindable keys is something we’re evaluating for an after release update.
