All Plants

Although plants have a variety of functions, in Hogwarts Legacy you will mostly employ them to make potions, stronger gear, or during battles.

In the Herbology class in the Room of Requirement, you may cultivate plants inside the walls of the Hogwarts castle.

Every plant will have a timer that counts down the minutes until the plant is ready to be harvested in real-time.

Plant/Herbology (combat)	Uses	Where to Find It
Chinese Chomping Cabbage	Will follow and attack enemies until destroyed.	Herbology class; you can also purchase seeds at Dogweed & Deathcap and grow them yourself. Must be grown in medium or large pots.
Venomous Tentacula	When deployed, they will shoot venom at nearby enemies.	You can purchase seeds at Dogweed & Deathcap and grow them yourself. Must be grown in large pots.
Mandrake	Mandrakes are sentient plants with a root that can cry, this sound is fatal to anyone who hears it, but a Mandrakes seedling’s cry only causes unconsciousness.	You can purchase seeds at Dogweed & Deathcap and grow them yourself. Must be grown in pots of any size.

Leech Juice	Thunderbrew Potion Maxima Potion	These can be found around the world or purchased at The Magic Neep or J. Pippins Potions in Hogsmeade.
Shrivelfig Fruit	Thunderbrew Potion	These can be found around the world or purchased at The Magic Neep or J. Pippins Potions in Hogsmeade.
