Badges are one of the several ways to display your proficiency and dedication to the game to other players. You can choose up to 3 of them and have them displayed on your profile for all to see. They are purely cosmetic and as of now offer no gameplay benefits.

Simply go to your profile and then the badges subsection to assign them to the 3 slots that are available. With each tier your badge evolves and gains a new frame.

While most of them are self-explanatory and will be acquired passively through gameplay, some of them are not so obvious and/or can be acquired in a more efficient manner.

Minion Slayer

Eliminate Rank D Enemies – this will come naturally as you play because rank D enemies are the most common. You can check the in-game codex for information on enemies’ rank.

Monster Butcher

Eliminate Rank C Enemies – this will come naturally as you play. Rank C enemies are the big dudes that hit like a truck – Dolems or Jotuns. You can check the in-game codex for information on enemies’ rank.

Elite Killer

Eliminate Alpha Enemies – this will come naturally as you play. Alpha enemies are basically the bosses you will find at the end of a level.

Montana Bones

Find Secret Chests – this should come naturally as you play. All you have to do is open chests found throughout the levels. If you have trouble finding these you can use the “Shows Secret Chests” perk for your Prototype Gear slot that displays chests on the minimap.

Hound Dog

Find Hidden Objects – this should come naturally as you play. You have to find “Hidden Objects” which are these small white objects with a glow around them. Depending on a map they can be easily missable (hidden in a bush etc.) or visible in plain sight. Similiarily to Hidden Chests – If you have trouble finding these you can use the “Shows Secret Chests” perk for your Prototype Gear slot that displays Hidden Objects on the minimap as well.

Genetics Aficionado

Collect DNA – this will come naturally as you play. DNA are little blue orbs that drop from defeated enemies.

Money’s Not A Problem!

Spend Credits – self explanatory. Spend credits in the shop to get progress towards this badge.

Mercenary For Hire

Complete Contracts – self explanatory.

Teamplayer

Complete Contracts with 2 players or more – self explanatory.

What Is Failure?

Complete Contracts with 2 players or more without dying – self explanatory.

Abomination’s Worst Nightmare

Kill Abomination – you can do this by killing the Abomination during the missions where it is featured as an end level boss or you can speed up the process and farm for “Queen Moggoth’s Worst Nightmare” and “Helldorren’s Worst Nightmare” at the same time.

In order to do so you should play the “Three Little Nightmares” Colosseum mission that features fights with all of these bosses in the course of one relatively short mission (around 15 minutes or so). After you finish the mission you will get credit toward 3 of these badges and you will have a chance to roll for rare crafting loot from these bosses as well.

Queen Moggoth’s Worst Nightmare

Check the “Abomination’s Worst Nightmare” badge.

Helldorren’s Worst Nightmare

Check the “Abomination’s Worst Nightmare” badge.

Archangel

Resurrect your teammates – self explanatory. If your teammate dies, walk up to them and hold “F” to resurrect them.

Off You Go!

Throw enemies in the air – this will come naturally as you play. Attacking your enemies with skills will sometimes send them flying which will count towards this badge’s progress.

Oh-Oh-Seven

Make the most kills in a game with 2 players or more – self explanatory.

Fastest way to get it would be to boot up a low level contract and cheese some new players out of their kills.

It’s Over 9000!

Make the most damage in a game with 2 players or more – self explanatory.

Fastest way to get it would be to boot up a low level contract and cheese some new players out of their kills.

Martyr

Take the most damage in a game with 2 players or more – self explanatory.

My suggestion would be to, once again, play low level contracts, equip lifesteal gear and tank all damage.

Mr. Bandaid

Heal the most in a game with 2 players or more – self explanatory.

Low level contracts work for this as well.

Champion Of Champions

Be the most valuable player – at the end of each multiplayer contract, each players’ stats are taken into consideration into calculating who is the Most Valuable Player (MVP).

As per usual, low level contracts are the easiest way to farm this out of hands of newbie players.

Minesweeper

Turn on mines – the wording here is pretty strange but you simply have to walk over a mine to activate it. They randomly spawn during the missions. It doesn’t matter if you take a hit or not.

Plaguebuster

Destroy Roots and Seeds of the Plague – most easily found during the “Destroy Seed of the Plague” mission at the very end. You can get 4 of those in this mission.

1st, 2nd and 3rd are found after destroying these floating things:

Once you destroy them, a portal appears and you jump in to a little arena:

Destroying these things inside the portal adds progress to the badge.

And the last one – the Root is the big disgusting orb.

One Root of the Plague can also be found mid mission in “Kill the Nightbringer Twins”.

Nightbringers’ Biggest Fear

Eliminate Nightbringers – unfortunately, this badge doesn’t progress as you kill Nightbringers that are part of the mission (for example if the Nightbringer is the final boss). The only way for this to count is to randomly find a Nightbringer Cocoon mid mission and walk up to it. A Nightbringer will “hatch” and you have to kill it.

All Feds Are Dead

Defeat Federation Forces – this will come up as you play. Kill any enemies that belong to the Feds faction – doesn’t matter if it’s regular enemies or the ambush parties that happen randomly.

Colosseum Raider

Complete challenges of the Unseen (Contracts) – self explanatory. You have to complete all waves of the Colosseum to get a progress point towards this badge.

The Cake is a Lie

Obtain Pumpkin Cakes – unlockable only during the Halloween event. You have to collect pumpkins that spawn randomly during a contract and then exchange them for a cake at the shop.

Under Xmas Tree

Pick up Christmas Gifts – unlockable only during Christmas event. You have to pick up Christmas Gifts that randomly spawn during the mission.

Egg Lover

Crack Moggoth Eggs – you have to destroy Moggoth eggs that appear in the “Arachnophilia?” mission. You can do it manually and destroy them one by one or equip the “Joker” gun on Troy and shoot a bunch of them at the end of the mission. If the gun successfully triggers the poison cloud proc it will result in a spectacular explosion of all eggs at once.

Guerrero Guerrilla

Kill Guerilla N-22 – Guerilla N-22’s appears only in the “My Humble Abode” mission and there are actually a few of them but only one counts towards the badge progress – it has to be the level 5 miniboss found mid mission. Yup, prepare for a grind if you want a tier 3.

The Hunter

Kill the Runaway – self explanatory. Killing the plague version of the Runaway is fine and it counts towards this badge’s progression too.

Scrappin’ Around

Destroy Scrappies before they run away. Scrappies are small, pyramid shaped enemies that if not spotted are stationary and transparent. Once spotted, they start to run away and you have to kill them before they disappear. There is no particular place to farm them but they make a distinct sound once found – that’s your clue to start chasing them.

I love two things in life, games and sports. Although sports were my earliest interest, it was video games that got me completely addicted (in a good way). My first game was Crash Bandicoot (PS1) from the legendary studio Naughty Dog back in 1996. I turned my passion for gaming into a job back in 2019 when I transformed my geek blog (Re-actor) into the gaming website it is today.
