I use a pistol with the infinite ammo belt, the grip that increases credit drop and bonus until you get hit, the bottom tier of the hellspitter or the gundancer sniper barrel, the railgun turret under barrel, the vampiric magazine (banished after level 1), and the bottom path of the chevron charm. I dont think the stock makes too much of a difference but I usually go lightweight for rate of fire.
I also have every gene slot I can filled with increased credit bonus upgraded as high as I can.
Over the course of the run you want to never take increased magazine size. You want to reduce the magazine to be as small as you can possibly make it. My drone has a version of the gun mentioned above that has a single bullet magazine size and very high rate of fire.
I also recommend keeping vision range low and finding a corner or corridor to stack the loot and xp quicker. Make sure you arent at a part of the map where stuff drops where you cant get to it.
