Ori and the Will of the Wisps – How to Beat Mora

How to Beat Mora

When the Mora boss fight begins, immediately Inflict as much damage as possible on the spider. If it rears its front two legs up, prepare to dash out from beneath it because its about to slam the ground. Aim for the head when attacking as that’s what takes damage.

The only other move to watch out for at this point other than the slam is a giant laser. Just grapple into the air via one of the hanging lanterns when this happens. After you remove about a fourth of its health, climb the far right wall, jump to the hanging structure left of you and bash your way up using the orange lanterns.

You’ll need to bash up twice and then stick to a wall. Dash right to a hanging structure and bash right after that. Climb up the structure above you, jumping from side to side to avoid the spider. When you’re at the top, dash right and grapple right to the eastern wall. Climb up a bit and grapple again — this time, grapple left. Continue west to enter another arena for the spider fight to begin.

In this stage of the fight, the spider will either throw projectiles at you to dodge or spawn three spider spawns for you to defeat. When Mora launches projectiles at you, either dodge them altogether or use Bash to fling one back at the spider. If you successfully hit Mora with one of their own projectiles, you’ll do a beefy amount of damage. When the three spiders spawn, just fight them as you would any other enemy.

While all of this is happening, continue to lay attacks into Mora’s head to damage her. Use the hanging structures to Bash upwards closer to her head.

Eventually, she’ll rear her entire body back. Stick to a wall to avoid the incoming damage and when her attack is done, attack what’s left of her. Keep hitting, keeping in mind the gauntlet of moves Mora will use and you’ll eventually finish the fight.

Defeating Mora will unleash one of the wisps: Eyes of the Forest. This will complete the Breaking the Mould main quest.

I love two things in life, games and sports. Although sports were my earliest interest, it was video games that got me completely addicted (in a good way). My first game was Crash Bandicoot (PS1) from the legendary studio Naughty Dog back in 1996. I turned my passion for gaming into a job back in 2019 when I transformed my geek blog (Re-actor) into the gaming website it is today.
