How to Upgrade Shards

To upgrade shards in Ori and the Will of the Wisps, you must first reach the Wellspring Glades section of the game. When you get here, head west until you reach the character named Twillen. Talk to them and you can look at all of the upgrades that you can can currently purchase. Each upgrade will cost a set number of Spirit Lights so keep that in mind. Purchase an upgrade and the game will automatically upgrade the appropriate shard for you.
