Would You Kindly…
During your time in Picontier, the residents of the island will ask you to fetch them a lot of items. Sometimes the rewards are very worth it. The aim of this guide is to help people avoid selling or processing all of anything right before a resident happens to ask for it, and to help them figure out the more worthwhile requests to aim for early.
Notes on Friendship
- As far as I can tell, different items don’t seem to have different friendship values. Liked items give about double the value of other items while disliked items reduce friendship considerably.
- Once you reach a certain friendship level with someone, it won’t regress to a previous one. Giving disliked items will at worst empty the bar for the current level.
- Residents you meet later in the game gain friendship at a faster rate than those you meet at the start.

PAQ (Pre-emptively Answered Questions)
- What’s with the blank diamonds?
A: I’m too cautious about spoilers, and too lazy to make it pretty - Mythril, mithril, which is it?
A: The quest log says mythril, the inventory and catalog say mithril - You list only 7 requests per resident, what about the 8th?
A: They aren’t worth listing, you complete them when you get them - Why don’t you usually list how many of each item you need for a request?
A: Sadly the in-game quest log isn’t consistent on details and my memory’s not the best
