Efficient:

• Paints whole shape versions of quadrants before quartering them.
• Only crystallizes when necessary.
• Distributes paint for crystals across layers instead of along them.
• Manual purge (send 86 instead of a shape) for more efficient changeover.

Modular:

• The CMAM can be converted to a MAM by removing two types of platform.
• Platforms are broken up by function to make changes easier.
• Only 10 distinct types of buildings, only 2 of which are variations on each other.

Potential Improvements:

Automatic purge on changeover, either by understanding and rejecting ingredients, by detecting when most ingredients have been purged, or with a timer.

Centralize crystal brain, reducing repeated circuitry. Feed pins in from west side since they never need paint. Add dummy car at beginning of train to make delivery platforms more compact.
