Dooley: Double Core
Pick the Core or Critical Core. For abilities, look for weapon buffs/shield buffs, lots of fast-triggering/multicast items (Uzi, Atomic Clock, Miss Isles, Pulse Rifle…) or haste/charge items (Battery, GPU…). Depending on your current items and skills, you must constantly change the board, which is why you have to keep a lot of items in your stash.
As a result, to master the build, you have to learn which items you want and how to afford them, as Dooley’s early economy is problematic. Still pick up Duct Tape in the early game for survival. Duct Tape can also be a late-game item if you have specific skills. If you can afford it, start stacking Schematics early to sell them in the late game for 50+% crit chance.
Currently, the meta seems to be very aggressive, but not without poison builds. If you have enough ways to trigger freeze/slow, put Core on the right. Otherwise, place it in the middle. Combat Core is very easy to find in POL shop (large items) at days 2-4, so keep 15 gold (you can lose 1-2 days for it).
Additionally, it’s easy to find Pulse Rifle in early days at the weapons shop, which is a good reason to keep 7 gold, as it can carry you through early days. A great way to utilize the weapon shop is to have 11 gold so you can buy Uzi + Pulse Rifle + Chris on day 1, with 3 gold spent on rerolls if needed.
If you are playing double core, LED is the most overpowered item in your build. Hunt for Diamond Scrap in late game – it’s the most important item. Unless you find it, drop the starting Core into your stash.
