Tiny Rails – Building Up Africa

How and where do you get the materials to build up Africa. What is needed to do, and what can be skipped. This guide will give a overview and serve as a reference for the different kinds of materials.

Overview of Where to Get Specific Resources

A Overview of the different kind of building materials, and where you can get them. Placed here, for easy access.

There are 2 groups of materials that you need to build the stations. The Primary consists of Lumber, Wooden Windows and Red Bricks.

  • [Lumber] Found only in Canada West
  • [Wooden Windows] Found only in Asia East
  • [Red Bricks] Found only in Europe South

The secondary consists of Aluminum Beans, Plastic windows, Red Bricks and Black Roof Tile.

  • [Aluminum Beams] Found in Africa West
  • [Plastic Windows] Found only in Canada East
  • [Red Bricks] Found only in Europe South
  • [Black Roof Tile] Found both in Africa West & Center

You will need most of Lumber and Wooden Windows, and after that Aluminum Beams and Plastic Windows. Use your depots to collec a fair amound before you start building. I would recommend 300 lumber and 300 wooden windows to start with, and 100 red bricks.

The Goals for Africa West

What you need to do, and how to do it.

There are a few basic goals like transporting a certain number of passengers around and make some money, but those we will ignore.

The Goals are:

  • Buy or upgrade 100 train stations
  • Travel to 70 cities (There is a maximum of 78 stations in this area)
  • Buy 1500 Cargo

Stations can be upgraded 3 times and cost either:

  • 500 + 1000 + 5000 = 6500
  • 1000 + 5000 + 10.000 = 16.000
  • 5000 + 10.000 + 50.000 = 65.000
  • 50.000 + 100.000 + 500.000 = 650.000

In Africa West there is no stations costing more than 16.000 that you need to purchase.

There are a max of 78 stations in the Territory, so you need to build a fair few stations, but not all of them. Try to plan ahead, and connect stations along the edges of the area.

The Cargo goal is easiest to complete when the territory is build and you just travel from north to south and but all, and sell when your train is full.

The Goals for Africa East

What you need, and how to get it.

There are a few basic goals like transporting a certain number of passengers around and make some money, but those we will ignore.

The Goals are:

  • Buy or upgrade 100 train stations
  • Level up 5 cars
  • Buy 1500 Cargo
  • Meet 1 market demand

Stations can be upgraded 3 times and cost either:

  • 500 + 1000 + 5000 = 6500
  • 1000 + 5000 + 10.000 = 16.000
  • 5000 + 10.000 + 50.000 = 65.000
  • 50.000 + 100.000 + 500.000 = 650.000

In Africa East there is no stations costing more than 16.000 that you need to purchase.

The Goal of upgrading 5 cars is the hardest of them all, and will take a lot of time. There are however 2 things that can make it easier. Firstly, you just need to press the upgrade button while on this mission, and secondly you don´t have to travel in the territory while upgrading.

The easiest way to do it is by taking new normal train cars and getting the easy upgrades after 500 kilometers. Which seems to be a lot further that actually 500 kilometers in the game when measuring between stations.

Meeting station demands can be difficult, but not here. Send 25 carrots to Sirte or 25 honey to Ghat in the north of the territory, and you´re done. The carrots can even be found in the territory while doing other things.

The Goals for Africa Center

Building up the dark continent.

There are a few basic goals like transporting a certain number of passengers around and make some money, but those we will ignore.

The Goals are:

  • Buy or upgrade 75 train stations
  • Travel to 50 cities (There is a maximum of 58 stations in this area)
  • Meet 3 market demands

Stations can be upgraded 3 times and cost either:

  • 500 + 1000 + 5000 = 6500
  • 1000 + 5000 + 10.000 = 16.000
  • 5000 + 10.000 + 50.000 = 65.000
  • 50.000 + 100.000 + 500.000 = 650.000

In Africa Center, there is no stations costing more than 16.000 that you need to purchase.

There are a max of 58 stations in the Territory, so you need to build a fair few stations, but not all of them. Try to plan ahead, and connect stations so you get a fast way to travel to the depot in the area.

This will help a lot.

The market demands are tough, but can be done easier if you choose your targets carefully.

I recommend the following 3 stations in the east of the territory

  • Aweil – 25 bananas
  • Kisangani – 50 wheat
  • Gulu – 50 corn

All 3 ressources can be found cruising around Africa.

The Goals for Africa South

Bless the rains and bring windows.

There are a few basic goals like transporting a certain number of passengers around and make some money, but those we will ignore.

The Goals are:

  • Buy or upgrade 100 train stations
  • Travel to 81 cities (There is a maximum of 81 stations in this area)
  • Buy 1500 cargo

Stations can be upgraded 3 times and cost either:

  • 500 + 1000 + 5000 = 6500
  • 1000 + 5000 + 10.000 = 16.000
  • 5000 + 10.000 + 50.000 = 65.000
  • 50.000 + 100.000 + 500.000 = 650.000

In Africa South, there is no stations costing more than 16.000 that you need to purchase.

There are a max of 81 stations in the Territory, so you need to build all the stations to succeed. This will take some time and require a lot of ressources. Be prepared to make several trips.

The 1500 cargo can be bught after the other goals are met, by just traveling around between stations that are close, and pickup and sell everything.

Remember to viset a depot and leave your leftover building materials there, as the South America area need almost the same ressources.
