Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands – Damage Types

Damage Types

Depending on what kind of foul fiend or enormous monstrosity you’re up against, ordinary firepower may not be the best way to get the job done. Elemental damage types can greatly enhance the effectiveness of your arsenal when used in the right situation, so it’s a good idea to know when to bring fireballs to a fight.

There are five elemental damage types available to you in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Fire, Frost, Lightning, Poison, and Dark Magic. When squaring off against an enemy, take stock of what color their health bar is; this will indicate what elemental damage type works best against them.

Fire burns Flesh (red health bars) to a crisp, Lightning zaps away Wards (blue), Poison seeps through Armor (yellow), and Frost chills Bone (white) to the, well, bone. Sustained Frost damage has the added bonus of slowing your enemies and eventually freezing them solid into giant ice cubes (which just so happen to take triple the amount of melee damage). Make sure to carve those ice sculptures with whatever sword, axe, or mace you’ve got handy!

And if you don’t mind dabbling in the occult, Dark Magic siphons your enemies’ vitality, sending it straight to your health bar. These lifestealing properties can keep you going during prolonged battles, provided your Dark Magic is hitting its mark.

All five elemental damage types also deal some damage-over-time, which can be a huge boon when fighting big bad bosses or tougher underlings. With the right blend of elemental damage at your disposal, you’ll be more than ready for whatever Tina throws at you next!

I love two things in life, games and sports. Although sports were my earliest interest, it was video games that got me completely addicted (in a good way). My first game was Crash Bandicoot (PS1) from the legendary studio Naughty Dog back in 1996. I turned my passion for gaming into a job back in 2019 when I transformed my geek blog (Re-actor) into the gaming website it is today.
