Torchlight: Infinite – How to Uncap FPS

Guide to Uncap FPS

You can manually edit the settings yourself.

Go to:

  • SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Torchlight Infinite -> UE_game -> saved -> config -> WindowsNoEditor.

Add this to your engine.ini (at the bottom).

[SystemSettings]
r.VSync=0
r.BloomQuality=0
r.SSR=0
r.Fog=0
r.VolumetricFog=0
r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0
r.DepthOfFieldQuality=0
r.Tonemapper.GrainQuantization=0
r.LensFlareQuality=0
r.MotionBlurQuality=0

[/script/engine.engine]
bSmoothFrameRate=0

[/script/engine.renderersettings]
t.MaxFPS=0

Save and make the file read only.

Now open up GameUserSettings.ini.

Add FrameRateLimit=240.000000 or your fps desired limit under [/script/engine.gameusersettings].

Now save ini file and make it read only like you did with engine.ini.

Enjoy 240 fps with no annoying effects!

I love two things in life, games and sports. Although sports were my earliest interest, it was video games that got me completely addicted (in a good way). My first game was Crash Bandicoot (PS1) from the legendary studio Naughty Dog back in 1996. I turned my passion for gaming into a job back in 2019 when I transformed my geek blog (Re-actor) into the gaming website it is today.
