Alright so here’s the simplest, most beginner friendly guide to survive hordes of filthy heretics in melee range.

Step 1: Shove is your best friend.
Step 2: After using shove, melee as many times as you can before the stagger wears off.
Step 3: Repeat.
Step 4: If you are getting overwhelmed, dodge backwards while repeating steps 1 and 2.
Step 5: Corners and chokepoints are also your friend, if you can prevent getting hit from behind you can deal with even the biggest of hordes.
Step 6: Pray for the God Emperor to save you from specials and elites appearing. Most of them do not stagger from your mighty shove, thus steps 1 through 5 do not work.
