God of War – GTX 1080 Optimization / Quality Settings

This guide tells you my specs and settings i suggest using with a GTX 1080.

I also use nvidia game filter and add a bit of sharpening. This can be useful if you use DLSS or AMD FSR.

These are my specs:

  • GTX 1080
  • i5-9600k
  • 16GB DDR4

I get about 50-60 fps depending on if its a cut scene or not. I believe most of the issues lie with the memory leak.

However these are the best settings for my setup and serve me well. The loss of 5-10 fps is hardly noticeable and you’ll still be playing with better graphics than the PS5 graphic update.

Hope you enjoy!

I love two things in life, games and sports. Although sports were my earliest interest, it was video games that got me completely addicted (in a good way). My first game was Crash Bandicoot (PS1) from the legendary studio Naughty Dog back in 1996. I turned my passion for gaming into a job back in 2019 when I transformed my geek blog (Re-actor) into the gaming website it is today.
