NARAKA: BLADEPOINT – The Mercury River Explained (Perdoria Map)

Explanation of The Mercury River

The Mercury River can be found circling around the map of Perdoria, and can be distinguished by the silver water surface as opposed to being clear.

There’s a few interesting quirks about it I’ve encountered and would like to explain.

Loot Piles

At regular intervals throughout the match, Loot Piles will appear in the River, usually consisting of two (2) golden and two (2) green stashes, and a chance of fireflies (consumables, grant Rage). They are noted by small chest symbols on the map.

Surfing

You can surf the river! While running, start sliding and you can surf across the surface. It’s fast, and is a great option for rotating or escaping fights.

Hiding

If you remain crouched in the river for a while, you can dive in and hide in it! You will have your movement limited, but it can make a convenient hiding place. Perform an attack while submerged to get a blue focus stealth attack! Be careful though, as [Mercury Corrosion] will accumulate, and at it’s maximum it will start dealing damage until you surface.

That’s all I’ve found so far. The Mercury River is a big part of Perdoria, so maybe these tips can give you a bit of an edge in your next match!

I turned my passion for gaming into a job back in 2019 when I transformed my geek blog (Re-actor) into the gaming website it is today.
