Dead Island 2 – How to Play without EOS

For those who want to play Dead Island 2 without EOS.

Steps

• Make sure the Epic Store program is uninstalled.
• Before launching the game for the first time, navigate to X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dead Island 2 and delete the EpicGameLauncher folder.
• Next, open the DeadIsland.ini file (file is in Dead Island 2 directory) in Notepad and modify NoOperation=0″ to “NoOperation=1.
• If the Epic Games Launcher is already installed on your computer, uninstall it before proceeding with the steps above.

Extra

• It is very likely that when playing without EOS, the game’s entire online system will not work. However, you will be able to play solo without any problems.
• You will still earn all achievements as normal.
