Prey – How to Fix Textures Not Loading and Being Low Res

An easy straightforward fix for textures not loading and being low res when using the “Very High” texture setting.

The Fix!

Does your textures look like this?

If yes, then this guide will show you how to fix it.

• Open the game set textures to Very high, apply and quit the game.
• Go to C:\Users\Your_User\Saved Games\Arkane Studios\Prey and open game.cfg
• Add these lines at the end:

r_DetailDistance = 16
r_EnvTexResolution = 4
r_DetailTextures = 1
sys_spec_textureresolution = 4

• Save and check in as read only.

Enjoy the game with the full texture resolution.
