So, to do this you will need the following:

• Research enabled (obv)
• Able to jump to another planet

Your HQ doesn’t get constantly attacked while on another planet, so setup an outpost on another planet (I use the second one, the desert).

You can take advantage of the 200% sun bonus and build extra batteries so it will last through the night.

I built an additional research station here.

Then.

All you do is wait on the second planet and wait for the timer to count-down, whilst being safe.

You might have meteors etc but other than that you don’t have to worry about GIANT mobs attacking you constantly while you’re just learning the game.
