Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord – Companion Stats

Guide for companion skills.

Intro

This can be found in game at:

  • Encyclopedia (N) –> Heroes –> Occupation, Wanderer –> List of all companions with skills

Note: The encyclopedia is bugged with wanderer locations. Currently you must do it the warband way by just going between towns and manually searching for companions.

Skills are as follows:

  • VIG One Handed / Two Handed/Polearm
  • CTR Bow / XBow / Thrown
  • END Riding / Athletics / Smithing
  • CNG Scout / Tactics / Roguery
  • SOC Charm / Leadership / Trade
  • INT Steward / Medicine / Engineering

Just wanted to let everyone know about companion stats in the game. After testing, I found out that when you hire wanderers, their base stats (like Vigor, Control, etc.) are random each time. Right now, there’s no way to know exactly what stats a companion will have before you hire them.

Engineers

Going to be good at Sieges and construction. Recommend having one in your party.

  • The Knowing (Closefisted, Merciful)
  • VIG 60 60 60
  • CTR 50 40 40
  • END 40 40 0
  • Charm 10
  • Engineering 80

Healers

Increases healing rate and decreases chance of a kill upon troops falling in combat. Good to always have one in your party to save on recruitment costs and time.

  • The Healer and Willowbark (merciful, calculating)
  • Vig 60 60 60
  • Ctr 50 40 40
  • End 40 40 0
  • Scouting 40 The healer / 20 Willowbark
  • Medicine 60

Scouts

Increases party speed, Line of sight, and adds footprints to the overworld map. Recommend having in your party.

  • Of the Wastes
  • Vig 180 180 180
  • Ctr 150 120 120
  • End 120 120
  • Scouting 140

  • Vig 90 90 90
  • Ctr 75 60 60
  • End 60 60 0
  • Scouting 60

Caravaneers and Stewards

These companions are good for leading Caravans but not too much else. The steward skill can make them good Governors but I think it is a waste of a companion slot to use them for anything other than Caravan leading.

  • The Swift (Merciful, Daring, Generous)
  • VIG 150 150 150
  • CTR 125 100 100
  • END 100 100 0
  • CNG 0 0 100
  • Charm 10
  • Trade 80
  • Steward 80

  • Bad version:
  • Vig 90 90 90

Tacticians

Tacticians do good at auto resolve battles as well as giving bonuses to troop morale, and debuffs to enemy morale. Personally I see no use for them other than party leaders. You really shouldn’t grab these guys up unless you really want a specific companion to lead another army in your empire. Offspring and spouses will be better suited for this.

  • The Golden
  • The Falcon (Daring, Generous)
  • Vig 180 180 180
  • Ctr 150 120 120
  • End 120 120 0
  • Tactics 100
  • Charm 10
  • The Silent
  • Vig 150 160 170

  • The Outcast (Generous, Devious)
  • VIG 120 80 100
  • CTR 130 70 80
  • END 120 80 0
  • Tactics 60
  • The Lucky (Generous, Daring)
  • Vig 90 90 90
  • Ctr 75 60 60
  • End 60 60 0
  • Tactician 60
  • The Grizzled (Honest, Merciful)

  • Ctr 115 150 90
  • End 80 90 0
  • Tactics 30
  • Charm 10
  • Bloodaxe (Honest, Calculating)
  • Vig 90 90 90
  • Ctr 75 60 60
  • End 60 60 0

Rogues

The dishonorable bandits. These guys really don’t have much use in a party because their skills are all party leader buffs. Keep an eye on your pockets around these guys.

  • The Prince
  • Vig: 150 150 150
  • Ctr: 125 100 100
  • End: 100 100 100
  • Roguery: 140
  • Charm: 10
  • Horsethief Generous/Daring
  • Vig: 180 180 180
  • Ctr: 150 120 120
  • End: 120 120 120
  • The Black Generous/Daring
  • Vig: 120 120 120
  • Ctr: 90 130 70
  • End: 60 70 0
  • Roguery: 40

Might have been buffed to:

  • VIG: 180 180 180
  • CTR: 150 120 120
  • END: 120 120 0
  • CNG: 80 0 120
  • SOC: 10 0 0

Otherwise this is another variant of the surname

  • The Shark (Cruel, Devious, Closefisted)
  • VIG: 120 100 100
  • CTR: 100 60 110
  • END: 80 110 0
  • CNG: 0 0 60
  • SOC: 10 0 0
  • LongknifeAccursed
  • Vig: 90 90 90
  • Ctr: 75 60 60
  • End: 60 60 0
  • Roguery: 60
  • The Robber Generous/devious/merciful
  • Vig: 90 70 70
  • Ctr: 75 0 90
  • End: 60 90 0
  • Roguery: 60

Smiths and Crafters

These guys are going to be your power smithing grinders. If you need some smithing done and your skill is not high enough use one of these guys to get it done. Most likely not too useful for most people considering how situational their skill is but feel free to take them if you want them.

  • The Smith (Generous, Merciful)
  • VIG: 90 140 80
  • CTR: 55 0 60
  • END: 60 60 0
  • Smithing: 60

I love two things in life, games and sports. Although sports were my earliest interest, it was video games that got me completely addicted (in a good way). My first game was Crash Bandicoot (PS1) from the legendary studio Naughty Dog back in 1996. I turned my passion for gaming into a job back in 2019 when I transformed my geek blog (Re-actor) into the gaming website it is today.

  1. I wanna request that you add levels. Since leveling them up is the only real way to customize them, if one has a terribly low level it also becomes a lot more valuable in terms of retraining to be for example your engineer, quest companion or even separate party leader. Also you can waste less focus points on similar skills ( 10 focus points spread over 3 melee skills = 5 I could have used elsewhere, 6 for ranged)

The good Wronged I got for example is lvl 15 (and a 75% to next level) on recruitment.
The Robber lvl 13 (and 75%) **Had 12 free focus points
    Bloodaxe lvl 13 (35%)
    The Wanderer lvl 18 (15%)
    The Shieldmaiden lvl 18 (5%)
    The Lucky 13 (85%)
    Willowbark 10 (95%)
    The Fish 13 (95%)

Also a note on the suggested companions… The scout perks are at low levels, but the rogue also has a scout perk and at a much higher skill requirement. So I suggest hiring a rogue and respecializing him as a scout (he already has good cng and a few free focus points) as it is easier to teach a companion scouting than roguery

  2. FANTASTIC!! SOME INFORMATION! Lol awesome post dude much thanks. <3 /salute. #Battania #Sturgia
