The Texas Chain Saw Massacre – How and Where to Gain XP

List of events that provide score and XP points for victims and family.

Guide to Gain XP

How XP Is Gained

As you play the game, you will gain score. At the end of the game this score is converting into xp as follow:

  • You get 100% as account xp
  • The character’s ability/power get 1/4
  • The 3 equipped perk each get 1/4

This does not change even if you equip less perk, or if one of the perk or the character’s ability gets maxed out.

Victims Event

Non Repeatable Events

XP – Event

  • Picking up an unlock tool – 50
  • Picking up a bone scrap – 50
  • Survive for 1 minute – 25
  • Leaving the basement – 100
  • Picking up a fuse – 50
  • Picking up a valve – 50
  • Opening the fusebox – 50
  • Inserting the fuse – 50
  • Survive for 5 minutes – 100
  • Escape the family – 500
  • Stabbing grandpa – 500

Repeatable Events

XP – Event

  • Picking a lock – 200
  • Disarming a noisemaker – 25
  • Opening a crawlspace – 50
  • Disarming trap – 50
  • Healing an ally – 50
  • Activating the fusebox – 50
  • Winning a close encounter – 50
  • Sneak attack – 200
  • Door slam, stun – 200
  • Insert valve on pressure tank – 0
  • Activate pressure tank – 0
  • Turn off the battery – 0
  • Turn off the generator – 0

The amount of xp that you can gain while playing victims is limited since most of the events are non repeatable or there is a limited amount of them in the map such as locked door. Also, remember that stabbing grandpa is worth just as much as escaping so it can be a good idea to find the time to go see grandpa before escaping or before dying.

Family Events

Repeatable Events

Event – XP

  • Close a crawlspace – 50
  • Filling up blood vial to maximum capacity – 100
  • Feed grandpa – 75
  • Level up grandpa – 50+50 per level (100|150|200|250|300)
  • Hit a victim – 10
  • Power (successfully) used – 50
  • Execute a victim – 500
  • Ally execute a victim – 100
  • Close valve on the pressure tank – 0
  • Turn on the battery – 0
  • Turn on the generator – 0

Family is a bit simpler than victims, since all events are technically repeatable. You just need to get your vial to its maximum for that 100 bonus then you need to empty it by feeding grandpa which will also give you xp. Since leveling grandpa grants the xp to every family member, it is a good way to help others who want to level up too. The tricky part is managing to do that without letting the victims escape.
