Guide to Fix Performance

Foreword

This guide only applies if your game launches through the Oculus PC app. I don’t know if it’ll work for everyone, I’m just posting it because it worked for me. Obviously the game is still pretty buggy and if this does work it won’t make everything perfect.

The (Potential) Fix

  1. Launch the game.
  2. Close SteamVR.

You can close SteamVR by closing it through the window. Yeah, that’s it. You could even just press the “Play” button in your library and not ever actually launch SteamVR. It seemed like SteamVR was creating some serious performance issues, making it impossible for me to run the game properly. I found it odd because the original game (I played it through the Oculus Rift store) ran really well on my computer.

This worked for me with the following:

  • Quest 2 + Oculus Link (72Hz)
  • i3 10100f
  • GTX 1660 Super
  • Windows 10

The game runs well at 100% resolution low graphic settings. I’m under minimum requirements.
