Amnesia: Rebirth – How to Get Through the Maze

This portion of the guide explains how to get through the maze in The Hunting Grounds.

The Maze Guide

Your goal here is to reach the exit.

• Hint: Pay attention to trigger plates on the floor.

Step-by-Step Solutions 

Once you’re in the maze, head right. You’ll see a box to your right, move it off that trigger plate so you can move through the area in front of you.

Then, take a right, a left at the wall, and the first left you see. Then, keep going straight until you hit a trigger plate that closes the gate ahead.

From the closed gate, take a left, an immediate right, and an immediate left. You’ll see a green flame ahead of you, so move towards it.

You’re trapped again, so turn around, but you’ll see the monster ahead. Don’t worry, the first time he catches you is actually a cutscene. Turns out, he’s Leon from your group!

Once he leaves, continue straight on until you hit a larger area with stones on both sides of you. Take the first left, jumping over the trigger plate on the floor, and then go up three spaces and take a right.

Continue forward three spaces then take a right followed by another left. There’ll be two trigger plates on the floor. Move the box in front to the plate behind it and continue through the space ahead (there’ll be a light in front of you.)

Go to the wall then turn right. Follow it until you hit a wire wall. Then, take a right and an immediate left. You’ll see another light in front of you, head towards it and turn left.

Take another left at the wall and move up two spots. Then, go straight across until you hit a trap door in front of you. From the trap door, go right towards a flame and jump over the boxes at the end to your left.

From here, go straight until you see a dead body ahead caught in the trap. Take a left at the body and another left. Go straight ahead four spaces and take a right.

Unfortunately, one of the trigger plates opens the gate for the monster in front of you. So, backtrack down this hall and take a left at the end of it. Then, take another left two spots up by a green lantern on the floor followed by an immediate right.

Take an immediate left and jump over the boxes ahead of you and run towards the door. Take a right and open the door ahead of you (make sure to close it.)

Then, head to the wheel ahead of you and turn it to open the next door. There’s another wheel in the next room to your right to turn, then head through the door ahead of you and down the stairs.
