Empyrion – Galactic Survival – Best Graphics Settings and High GPU Usage Fix

Best Graphics Settings and High GPU Usage Fix + Steam Launch Options

I just got this game and its absolutley amazing imoa. I was looking for a game similar to no mans sky but with more meaning and better combat etc. I am very happy to have found empyrion.

I was lucky to have found this game and to have someone come in my twitch chat and recommend the reforged mod. I am picky with my graphics settings and immediately noticed that there were serious issues with this game and I was able to fix them. I use an i7 6770k with an rtx 2070 a good nvme and 32 gigs ram and I was getting 80-90% gpu usage. I scoured the internet and did a ton of personal testing and was able to find the overall best in game graphics settings, and a complete fix for the high gpu usage for nvidia users via nvidia control panel.

The entire game runs smooth as butter and looks amazing now. Keep in mind my pc has been optimized so if you have any funky things going on with your pc outside of your game this will not help. I will post a couple screenshots in case anyone else is having issues. My gpu usage is also now 18-25%. Every setting has been tested significantly multiple times, you may see some settings ticked that seem ridiculous in nvidia control panel and in game but they are accurate. Trees setting for example runs with less gpu usage on high then on low.

If your pc has specs that are weaker then mine I advise setting shadows to low. Thanks for accepting me and good luck out there.

Some steam launch options that may or may not work but can only help and will not hurt your game:

-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -high -cl_forcepreload 1 -threads 8 +mat_motion_blur_percent_of_screen_max 0 -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemsp
