Remnant 2 – Possible Performance Fixes

Possible Performance Fixes

As others have pointed out, here are the system requirements:

System Requirements

Minimum:

  • OS: Win 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-7600 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 1650 / AMD Radeon RX 590
  • Storage: 80 GB

Recommended:

  • OS: Win 10
  • Processor: Intel i5-10600k / AMD R5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX 5700
  • Storage: 80 GB

Mid range specs, but yet a lot of us have performance issues.

Here’s the two things I did that basically completely fixed the performance for me (and keep in mind, a day one performance patch isn’t out yet either), UPDATE YOUR DRIVERS and DLSS / AMD Equivalent / Intel Equivalent.

The first one, your graphic card drivers should be kept up to date. If you haven’t updated your drivers to their latest respective release, update it. This was the main thing that fixed my performance.

The second thing, the AA in this game is a bit demanding. DLSS doesn’t ruin the image for me, even at 1080p, and it makes it a solid 60 fps at ultra settings for me (my specs are RTX 3060ti, R5 3600, and 16 GB DDR4).

I suspect the performance of the game will get better, as we are playing a pre-release version, but this two things helped make the experience very smooth.

  1. Just turn on dlss/fsr. 10 fixes out of 10. Nobody tried it, thank you. (no, it doesn’t help, especially on So Recommended by devs 10-20 series with fresh drivers.)
