Teardown – How to Force Game into HDR Mode

A launch parameter to force the game to use HDR lighting and colour. Useful, if like me, the game doesn’t always recognise your HDR capable display or graphics card.

The Command

If you have issues launching the game with HDR colour and lighting this launch option command should force it to work.

Step 1

Right Click game, Left click properties.

Step 2

Copy paste this command into launch options box:

+mat_hdr_level 2

Step 3

You can change the 2 to a 3, i’m not sure what this does, but if it causes issues for you, change it back to a 2.

Launch game!
