Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II – How to Choose Your Operator

The operator menu in Modern Warfare II beta explains how to select your operator, your favorite faction, and how to equip vault edition and beta reward skins.

Operators

Operator Menu Overview

The Tier One Operators of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II are the best in the business.

These distinctive characters will join the fray in Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, each with their own narrative, nationality, character dialogue, character skins, and aesthetic customization possibilities.

A simplified version of the Operator menu will be offered during the Beta. In the entire game, you can expect complete biographies, Operator unlock challenges, Finishing Moves, and more.

What to anticipate in the Beta is as follows:

Choose Your Operator

Choose your preferred faction and the Operator to represent you in the pre-game lobby in the Operator home base.

The Operators menu is located between the Challenges and Weapons menus.

There are two factions among the operators: SPECGRU and KORTAC. In all team-based game styles, these two factions stand in for the two team names.

When participating in the SPECGRU or KORTAC squad in certain game modes, choosing a SPECGRU or KORTAC Operator will make them your in-game character.

Your in-game character will be based on whichever faction you have “favorited,” denoted by a filled-in Star in the Operator menu, in squad-based game modes or in menus where a specific team has not yet been selected (such as the pre-game lobby). Your in-game character will thereafter be represented by the selected Operator from that preferred faction.

Although customisation is only available in the Beta for the Mil-Sim Operators, which have four distinct skins, and Horangi of KORTAC, it is also possible to customize Operators.

All Beta participants automatically have access to the following Operators within the Beta in addition to the Mil-Sim Operator:

SPECGRU:

  • König
  • Gus
  • Zimo
  • Kleo

KORTAC:

  • Fender
  • Hutch
  • Horangi
  • Nova

(Note: in the full game, these Operators may have to be unlocked via in-game challenge before they can be used across Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.)

Accessing Red Team 141 and The Beta Reward Operator Skin

There are a few unique Operators in the Beta in addition to the Default Operators:

The first is Red Team 141 Operators, which consists of Price, Farah, Ghost, and Soap and is available in the Modern Warfare II Beta as Vault Edition content.

These four Operators are members of SPECGRU and can be chosen individually. Their Red Team skin is their Default (and only) option.

The second unique Operator uses the “Collision” Beta Reward Skin for Horangi.

When you have leveled up to level 18 in the beta, click “Customize” when you are hovering over the Horangi choice in the KORTAC menu. You ought to be able to choose between his “Collision” and “Default” skins.

Keep in mind that this skin and all Beta Rewards are transferable to the final game.

Note: After unlocking this skin, you might need to restart the beta to see it.

My first game was Crash Bandicoot (PS1) from the legendary studio Naughty Dog back in 1996. I turned my passion for gaming into a job back in 2019 when I transformed my geek blog (Re-actor) into the gaming website it is today.
