Prerequisits

In order to complete this guide you must complete all main quests in the Thieve’s Guild quest line and kill Mercer Frey.

You will also need fast-travel access to the cities of:

  • Markarth
  • Solitude
  • Whiterun
  • Windhelm

*This is a guide on the fastest, most efficient way to gain the achievement – other way are also valid but they have been slower in my experience.

Main Guide

Once You have completed the Thieve’s Guild quest line you must:

  • Talk to Delvin Mallory in the Ragged Flagon
  • Quicksave (F5)
  • Ask Delvin for a numbers job
  • If the quest is not for Markarth, Solitude, Whiterun or Windhelm – Load quicksave (F9) and ask again
  • Fast travel to city of quest
  • Run to quest marker
  • Press E on book
  • Fast-travel back to ragged Flagon

These steps need to be repeated five times for each city. Once you have completed five missions in one of the cities then Delvin will have a special mission for you.*

*Once you have completed the special mission for a city do no do any more quests in that city, just reload your quicksave for another.

As each special mission is completed you will see the Ragged Flagon develop as the guild regains its power.

Complete 5 missions in each city for 20 total as well as the 4 special missions making 24; Then you will be told to talk to Brynjolf who will finally declare you as leader of the thieve’s guild

I love two things in life, games and sports. Although sports were my earliest interest, it was video games that got me completely addicted (in a good way). My first game was Crash Bandicoot (PS1) from the legendary studio Naughty Dog back in 1996. I turned my passion for gaming into a job back in 2019 when I transformed my geek blog (Re-actor) into the gaming website it is today.
