There are some helpful maps available for purchase in Ori and the Will of the Wisps but the game doesn’t explicitly tell you where to purchase them. Fortuantely for you, we’ve discovered the NPC you need to find in order to buy not only maps for each of the game’s areas, but to buy maps that reveal collectible locations.
How to Get Maps
Maps can be purchased in two forms: an item-revealing form and a general location form. Both types of maps can be purchased from a bug-like NPC named Lupo. They can be found in random alcoves throughout each region of the Ori and the Will of the Wisps. When you find them, talk to them and they’ll offer you a map of the area you’re in for a small Spirit Light fee.
You should always purchase these maps when presented with the opportunity. The map will reveal which parts of the area you’ve already explored and which parts you haven’t yet been through.
You can also find Lupo in their home in the Wellspring Glades. You can’t reach this house until you give Grom enough Gorlek Ore to remove the thorny obstacles in the area. After that, head east and drop down below. Continue downward and then east to find a house, Head inside and talk to Lupo. You can purchase a map that reveals the location of all spirit shards, a map that reveals the location of all life cell fragments, and a map that reveals the location of all energy cell fragments.
